I’m Angela Kirkpatrick- Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association. I love food and love exciting people to gain control of their bodies and minds through a lifestyle that is best for you.
It all started in 1985 while working at a cheese and wine shop in Bath, Maine where I found a cookbook in the store library on heart disease (Go figure next to the cheese counter).
I have a family history of heart disease and having lost my dad at his early age of 43 to the disease I was on a mission to clean up my lifestyle without sacrificing one of my true passions…delicious foods.
Through my studies and experiences (Co-author of Heart Healthy Cooking for Dummies, Private nutrition practice, Clinical Dietitian, Researcher at Rippe Lifestyles Inst., etc.) I arrived at the realization that “All foods fit” in a healthy lifestyle as long as the bulk of our intake comes from sources closest to the earth. That includes cheese and salami!
It’s the “Moderation” factor that keeps throwing people off. So vague and difficult to follow. That’s where I love to help out. Keep a look out for emails for Grand Trunk events as I will be holding public seminars at the shop. You can also contact me for a personal consult.
At the current time I am specializing in pre and post natal nutrition as well as children’s health.
I look forward to hearing from you.
